HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Arkansas High played its first playoff game in 40 years at Wolf Arena at Lake Hamilton High School.

Little Rock Hall edged out the Hogs in a heart-breaker 75-67.

The Razorbacks played its normal, physical, in-your-face basketball in the first period. The referees were calling the contest tight due to state implications.

Arkansas High committed eight fouls in the first quarter. Senior co-captain Kyndal Martin finished the first half with 15 points.

Martin ended his night with a team-high 30 points and was perfect from the charity stripe in the first two periods, draining all six attempts.

Fellow co-captain Taviron Oliver was limited in the first half due to foul trouble. When on the court, Oliver made his presence felt as he facilitated the offense and led the full-court press.

The Hogs' athleticism matched up well against the rangey guards from Little Rock Hall.

Arkansas High lost the turnover battle to the Warriors 9-7 in the first half.

The Warriors capitalized on Razorback mental mistakes to mount a favorable comeback in the middle of the second quarter.

The Razorbacks controlled chaos on defense kept the lead for Arkansas High over Hall heading into intermission.

Arkansas High went into the locker room up 32-28.

The second half was much like the previous half with the Hogs in the driver's seat. Little Rock Hall was unable to keep up with Martin.

Martin scored in the first half and found open teammates in the second.

Johnny Gullatt and Trayvon Robinson played like the twin towers for the Hogs in the third quarter.

The Warrios proved they've been in the trenches before, but Hall was down much of the third quarter.

A few made shots and some missed free throws later, the Warriors clawed back to tie Arkansas High after the third quarter at 46-all.

Marquis Gaggins led the Warriors offensively as he scored a game-high 34 points.

Michael Caldwell played out of his body for Arkansas High. The senior post player grabbed seven rebounds and poured in 17 points in the contest.
